I have 3 hitachi drives that came out of a IBM storage array, they are being re-purposed for another project. Only problem is when I hook them up to my windows 7 machine via sata connectors they are only displaying 372gb of usable space, these drives are 750gb. In disk management the drives only display the 372gb volume. How can I reset the partition size on these drives?

You can delete the partitions in Disk management then format to NTFS and create primary partitions.

That is the problem, disk management is only showing 1 partition that is 372gb, its not displaying the other 350+gb's that should be available

Likely the array was two of these 372gb HD's which totalled a 750gb RAID. So each HD should be showing its own size now if you have not reconfigured an array.

What is the SATA controller setting in BIOS setup?

well, the capacity listed on each drive is 750gb so I do not believe that is the issue, not sure on the bios, I'll need to check on that.

update: The bios reports the drive is 400gb in size

the SATA controller setting the BIOS is IDE

Part No. HUA721075KLA330

Google search of this part number clearly shows it to be a 750gb drive so I'm not sure whats up
