HDD Partitions

Currently I have 6 HDD partition over three disks.

C, D, E, F, G, H.

They original from ages ago on my old PC.


I am wanting to decrease that to 5 as my C:\ drive only has 2.64GB of free space left and is slowing down my PC. Can I delete my E drive and have all drives move down a letter without needing to reinstall everything when it comes to the registry being updated?

What are on the F, G, H partitions that you would like to change the drive letters after deleting the E drive?

Do you have anything installed (ex: programs, page file, Windows Backup, etc....) on the F, G, H partitions that is linked to from your Windows 7 installation?

Nah, only the important windows files are on the C drive. C, D, E and F are part of one 250GB HDD,G is a 250GB HDD and H is my 1TB HDD. I already have all my music and pictures in E but they will be moved to H as it has the most room.

In that case, after you delete the E partition until it's "unallocated space" and have extended C into the now unallocated space, you should be able to change the drive letters starting with F to E, G to F, and H to G using one or the other option in the tutorial below.
