HDD recommendations

I'm looking to jump up to a 500GB or even a 640GB hard drive, and I was just wondering if some of you might share experience/make recommendations. It's to go in my Toshiba (see my specs), so obviously it has to be a laptop-sized (2.5-in.) drive. Thoughts?

Do remember that a faster disk will for sure draw more juice.

Have you had an opportunity to ask at the Toshiba site as to their recommendations. I've got a Toshiba laptop with Win 7 (I'm using it at this very moment.) I have only a 120 GB SSD and only 51 GB thereof are in use.

As others may tell you, a SSD will bring a measurable and noticeable performance increase.

Although the additional speed would be welcome, unfortunately I need space more than speed at the moment. I'd really like to get one of those 512GB 2.5-in. OCZ SSDs, but it's a little expensive...
