HDD Sleep?

My friend gave me a 160GB SATA HDD the other day, so i installed it and put a few files n stuff on it. i notice if im not accessing anything off the drive, it goes to sleep/stops spinning. then when i access it, the system stops, while the HDD spools up then once its finished, the pc works like normal, and this is annoying the cr*p outa me.

IS there a way to make it not go to sleep/stop spinning? To make it like my other 2HDD's that spin all the time?

Uber Philf, what is the make and model of the drive? Is your other internal SATA?

It's a Seagate Barracuda 160GB, and yes all 3 HDDs are internal & SATA.

The drive has active, idle, standby and sleep mode. I don't remember idle mode.

**During periods of drive idle, some offline activity may occur according to the S.M.A.R.T. specification, which may increase acoustic and power to operational levels.
