Hi everyone. I hope I am in the correct forum. If I am not I do apologize for the error. I brought an Inspiron 560MT and it has a hdmi port on the rear of the pc. I would like to use that port to stream videos from my pc to tv. Unfortunately, I do not have a hdmi port on my tv. I have composite, component, and s-video ports on the tv. Is there any kind of cable that I can buy that will transfer the videos to my tv? My Comcast dvr has a hdmi port. Can I use it to transfer the videos? Any help will be appeciated. deanie44

What other outputs do you have on the PC? I would either buy a Blu-Ray player that can natively play media files, or an external streamer if you don't have a native cable.

You plug a USB into it or a HDD, and then run the films to your TV via component or HDMI like here:

FreeAgent Theater™ | Seagate

Or check if you GPU has S-Video out.

Personally, the best option is a HTPC, but there are alternatives.

Welcome to Windows 7 Support forums,
unfortunately you do not posess the hardware to accomplish this task.
You have no playback capability to playback blu ray, and your existing monitor does not posess the capability to playback in hi def or blu ray.
So Sorry.
