HDMI monitor no speakers-no sound from anywhere when connected?

I have the same issue in windows 10 home 64 bit-
HDMI monitor no speakers-no sound from anywhere when connected?



When I right click on the volume control, the options it shows are:
open volume control
playback devices
recording devices
sounds
volume control options

It does not give me a properties option.

Then I went to control panel and searched for sound. Then I saw the screen below. There was a Digital Audio as well and I clicked 'Don't use this device(disable)' on it by mistake and clicked OK.



Now, I only have Speakers option. How do I get the Digital Audio option back in here? I think that will solve my original problem.

You need "HDMI Audio", not digital audio. Your video card (or CPU if you are using an Intel with integrated HDMI audio) provides the HDMI audio (in the HDMI video connection).

You failed to fill in the "My System Spec's" so we can only provide general info, not specific.

You should have either AMD OR NVIDIA High Definition Audio, or Intel audio listed in the Device Manager Sounds Section. If there is no audio, other than the standard PC audio (e.g. Realtek or whatever you have) then you will not get HDMI Audio. In the Control Panel/Hardware and Sound, Sound Panel playback, HDMI Audio should be listed and Windows will automatically switch the default audio playback device from "Speakers" (PC audio) to HDMI.

Anything additional, we need PC specs.
