Headset keeps cutting in and out

Hi, I'm having an issue where my Logitech USB headset keeps cutting in and out. It will be on for a good 12 seconds or so, then it will cut out for a few seconds and come back. I know it's not a connection issue with the headset. It has to be the way Windows is reading it. This is incredibly annoying and any help would be much appreciated.

Have you tried any other headsets on the machine? if they work I might suggest the connections inside the headsets are faulty.

Hi, thanks for the welcome!

My system specs are as follows:
CPU: AMD FX 8350
MB: ASRock 970 Extreme3
GPU: Radeon HD7850 1Gb
RAM: 8GB Corsair Xtreme
OS: Windows 7

I just picked the parts up from my job as I got them for 40% off. I'm thinking it's a Windows driver issue of some sort. I know for a fact it's not a faulty connection or anything of the sort.
