Healthy HD recognized but can't access

Trying to pull data off of an old scsi hd that was originally running in XP. After a clean insatll of windows 7 I can see the drive in device mgr and in disk management it shows the drive as healthy. No drive letter is shown and the file type field is blank. If you right click on the drive everything is grayed out except delete volume. The drive was formatted NTFS in XP and it has files I want so this is a little maddening. It does not show up in windows explorer btw. Hope someone can help. thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to SevenForums.
Attach a drive letter via disk management and you will be able to use and see said drive.

Thanks Dan but that option is grayed out in the drop down. Th only action that is not grayed out is delete volume.

Ok,download partition wizard.
Free Download Partition Wizard
Then right click the drive>change drive letter>click apply.

That should do it

Thanks but I have 2 other scsi drives that were recognized without issues. Only difference was they were 36G vs 18G.

Thanks to all who participated in this issue with a specila thanks to SIW2 for leading me down the convert to dynamic disk path. I did that and was able to read the content on the old scsi drive. I have copied what I need to a new WD 2TB drive and will be retiring my 3 old scsi drives. Again thanks to eveyone. It was greatly appreciated.
