Heinz Zemanek the Austrian computer scientist who developed the MAILUFTERL computer died at age 94!

Austrian computer pioneer best known for developing the first complete transistorized computer on the European continent. The computer was named Mailüfterl - German for "May breeze" - in reference to Whirlwind, a computer developed at MIT between 1945 and 1951.

Thanks for posting. I knew him very well when he managed a small IBM laboratory in Vienna. He was a very educated and sophisticated man.
