Hello to all! New here. Couple of software questions

I want to move all my work software and projects to W7 Pro x64 from WXP Pro x32.

I was wondering if anyone knows whether Access 2002 with the Access 2007 update, and Office 2000 Small Business, and Visual Studio .Net 2008 will work?

I really need Access 2007, Excel and Word.

Also what mail program can be used in W7 Pro x64. I am used to using Outlook Express and Microsoft Outlook.

Hi, not sure about your question with the older stuff, but I know Outlook 2007 runs under Win 7 x64.

You don't need XPM to install any software you listed. They should work. Outlook Express isn't in Windows 7. You should try to install Windows Mail in the Windows Live Pack.

So...
Word 2007 -> Works on Windows 7 x86 & x64
Excel 2007 -> Works on Windows 7 x86 & x64
Access 2007 -> Works on Windows 7 x86 & x64
Access 2002 -> Should work on Windows 7 x86 & x64
Visual Studio .Net 2008 -> Works on Windows 7 x86 & x64

You should only use XPM if you have a software that doesn't work with Windows 7 & that doesn't need Hardware Acceleration & Audio acceleration.

What are your system specs? You might be able to install XP Mode and use that for Office 2002. I installed Office XP which Windows update upgraded to 2002 within XP mode and it works well.
