Help a Noobie with cool looking desktop!

I am new here...as you can tell! I would like to get some help with how to customize my desktop look to some Dashy stuff some people have posted in Desktop Show off thread...on here!

Hi and welcome.

to PM on any page that has "quick Links" in the banner . click on it and highlight PM.

Posting visitor message is done on the OP profile page. Just have to navigate there and post

You might want to drop into the general section, and visit the welcome to seven forums thread to introduce yourself.

Ok, the computer is rainmeter.
The taskbar is being done by this:
Right click taskbar
click properties
Check use small icons
Click apply, then ok
The right click the taskbar
Uncheck Lock the taskbar
'Grab' the task bar and make it the wished size.
When done check lock taskbar again

The Dock at the top is RocketDock and the info shown on the desktop is Rainmeter.

Ok got the names and seen their site...now if i want to customize like some awsome...people have....is there way to download whole package...with correct placing of clock with background...and cpu info ? and how to install it?

I know its an old thread but I really like the taskbar layout in the last picture of the original post. Does anybody know what was used to make all the quick-launch icons line up on the bottom of the taskbar? I can't get mine to move off the top line (they mix in with whatever program is open). Thanks!

You'll have to unlock your taskbar (right click it, click the appropriate entry), drag it up, then drag the quicklaunch bar down below the rest of your icons. If it's done right, you'll have something somewhat similar. But the taskbar's going to look huge.
