help,audio prob

recentlly i installed a win 7 on my laptop,there was no sound and the media playered said i have problem,i downloaded the latest version of realtek hd driver ,now the media player works but theres still n o sound.what should i do

Just jumping the gun, make sure your sound mixer isn't muted. And check your device manager for any audio warnings.

no that driver wasent for win7 ,was for xp,i downloaded it from realtek site

A8 has EZxx, STxx or S8xx afterward. Please go to:
Toshiba Support - Homepage
and download the appropriate audio driver.
You didn't specify 32- or 64-bit operating system.
Might as well update all your drivers.
Then make sure the sound is not mute, look at Event Manager for any yellow warnings, and let us know. Good luck!
