I'm new to Windows 7 and have been using it for 2 weeks after the purchase of my SONY Vaio S series VPCS115FG model laptop, everything's been going well until I started watching youtube videos a few days ago and I've been receiving BSOD warnings after around 5-10 minutes after I start playing an embedded video streaming online....

Anyone else experiencing this problem? Is it a virus or is there something wrong with my computer's operating system?

MANY THANKS!

Update! I just got the BSOD again! This time I wasn't streaming any videos online at all, I was simply downloading some course files from my university's intranet portal...this is sooo annoying!

I managed to copy down this message that appeared after my computer restarted, anyone know if it'll help in diagnosing the problem?

Hi -

Copy the mini kernel dumps from c:\windows\minidump to Documents folder

Run msinfo32 -
START | msinfo32 | save as NFO file (NFO = default file ext)

Zip up the dumps + NFO file and attach to next post.

Thanks so much for your reply! I've finally managed to figure out how to attach a zip file of the minidump!

Hopefully I've done it correctly.... :P
Thanks so much!

The bugcheck on the lone dump = 0x1e (0xc0000005,,,) = kernel mode exception; exception = 0xc0000005 = memory access violation. NT Kernel named as probable cause (default).

Run the driver verifier --> Tech Support Forum - View Single Post - Windows Has Recovered From Unexpected Shutdown - Blue Screen of Death - BSOD

Attach the zipped msinfo32 NFO file to next post.
