Hi everyone

I'm getting a BSOD when my computer is unattended. Not sure whether it'sdoing it in hibernation or what. Also worthy of note my computer and monitors will no longer power down according to power savings setting (after 30 min). The attachment is a DMP file, I just had to rename it ZIP because I couldn't attach it otherwise.

Weirdest thing:

I can't view the DMP file in Win Debugger because there is an issue with symbols. Can someone have a look for me.. please?

I guess the issue is with 1394ohci.sys i would recommend to Update the 1394 driver or revert it to Legacy driver. Follow this article How to Revert the Win7 1394ohci.sys to the Legacy Driver. Update your BIOS firmware. Also found the ASACPI.sys dated 2005 which is well known for problem it your Asus Utility if your not using it just uninstall it or go to Asus website and update with the latest driver or download it from Asus website.

Hope this helps,
Captain

How/where do I update it?

Update your BIOS firmware.

No significant updates or bug fixes, but I will for good measure

Also found the ASACPI.sys dated 2005 which is well known for problem it your Asus Utility if your not using it just uninstall it or go to Asus website and update with the latest driver or download it from Asus website.

I don't follow this at all. Please explain

Cpt Jack, only thing I did was install Asus AI Suite and that fixed my power off problem (Windows would not power off to sleep mode) AND the blue screen problem (so far so good).

So THANK YOU!!!

Bonus round Cpt Jack: why does my hard drive chatter incessantly upon recovery from sleep mode? Sounds like it is defragging but I know it's not.
