Hey Guys,

I have a problem with my counterstrike source so when I joining the server and its loading. Then the map load but its frozen? Sometime its work but mostly frozen.

Oh when its frozen, I pressed crtl+alt+del and pop up the task manager. In my process, hl2.exe have 20-22 on CPU and 373,***K on Memory.

I tried to re-install CS:S and Steam in 10 times but still have same problem. Also I reformated my computer twice! But its all same problem.

I was hell pissed and its wasted my time to install everything back on.

Well I cant tell that CSS is my my most played game!

If anyone know how to fix the problem, just tell us and will be much appreciated!

Thanks

Hi krps13, and welcome to Sevenforums :)

This thread might be worth checking out
http://www.sevenforums.com/software/19534-windows-7-counterstrike-source-combo-idm.html

Also see if your Internet Explorer is set to Work Offline, cause CSS relies on IE to load HTML based MOTD pages ( the intro pages that are shown when you join a server).
Next you could check if your firewall/security suite is not blocking Steam or HL2.exe, and that the ports that Steam and HL2.exe need are opened in the firewall.

You could also search the internet on how to disable MOTD in Counter Strike Source, see if that solves the freezing.

COUNTER STRIKE SOURCE > WINDOWS 7 64 BIT > DUAL MONITOR >

Issue: CS:S hangs at loading screen when run with windows 7 64 bit with dual monitors.

This bug seems to affect multimonitor systems under Windows 7 only.

FIX:
- Navigate to your SteamApps folder (usually "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[Username]\counter-strike source")
- Right click the "hl2.exe"
- On the compatibility tab check the checkbox "Disable Desktop composition" and apply the changes
- Now start CSS as usual
- Kill some Terrorists!
