If that's the case then just buy another ssd or hdd to put the new win-7 install on
Then your present install of win-10 is unaffected
Switch back and forth it's an old fashion dual boot

Give me a PC and I'm OK - lots of room and I know what I'm doing, but laptops are a different ball game, I'm scared haha!
