HELP - Eeepc with XP can´t connect to Win7

Hi Everyone,
I´ve got a really strange problem. And I´ll probably need someone to step through on this, my pc skills is intermediate... Ive done most of the things that have been recommended to get an xp machine to connect to a win7... but still my xp nor my win 7 will show up on either machine. Both have the same workgroup name, both are sharing, but nothing is there. Oh I´m runing both through a dlink wirelss network too. Can comeon please help me??? thanks

Hi A and welcome

You seem to have done all the right things to work, so lets try a simple thing first
in search type cmd>then ipconfig /flush , followed by ipconfig /renew.

If that works a simple dns fix will cure it

If not (mor likely) type ipconfig /all and using the snipping tool make a screenshot. To upload it use the attachment tool in the reply form

See the enclosed pics

ok here is the ipconfig of the eeepc with xp on it. The dns flush didn't do anything, but I did get an error message about how it was not able to connect to the dhcp server or something like that.
