Solved Help file wont delete win 7 says there is no file

I have a download that got interrupted and now have a file with extension .file that cant be deleted. Cleaning software wont catch it, restarting not working either. Havent tried a restore yet

Start the download and let it finish, then delete it, that should work.

or

Create a folder, drag it into the folder, then try to delete the folder.

tried both when trying to move or delete it it says could not find this item not in location please find item and try again.
