I'm on win7x64 and i've noticed severe mouse lag while playing league of legends, wich ocurs randomly
To track down the problem i used process monitor, and i noticed that in those moments explorer.exe would make changes in the registry system, and i'm guessing those are the cause of it, but i'm not quite sure

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\UserAssist\{CEBFF5CD-ACE2-4F4F-9178-9926F41749EA}

and

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\UserAssist\{F4E57C4B-2036-45F0-A9AB-443BCFE33D9F}

seem to change loads of stuff sometimes..

Can someone explain what are those registry folders?
Can i delete them?
thank you

Those are the User Assist keys

{CEBFF5CD-ACE2-4F4F-9178-9926F41749EA} – A list of applications, files, links, and other objects that have been accessed.

{F4E57C4B-2036-45F0-A9AB-443BCFE33D9F} – Lists the shortcut links used to start programs

You will expect them to be written to almost constantly. You can use this small free tool to decode them, but I think you may just be seeing normal behavior at the time you are having the lag.

UserAssistView - Decrypt and displays the list of all UserAssist items in the Registry
