Hi djgaidel welcome to the forums,

Please help us to help you. Can you please fill out your System Specs as completely as possible, if you don't know them then Speccy can help :)

Also, can you please provide screenshots of any error messages etc, specifically, how you know the driver is corrupt.

Thanks,

What brand of keyboard do you have and have you tried downloading new drivers from the manufacturer?

Try going into Device Manager, uninstall the drivers and restart your computer, windows 7 should install generic drivers for it if you don't have your Mfg drivers.

Check here and follow the instructions... is this a Mouse/Keyboard Combo? if not... search on the back of the keyboard for a Model Number and then go to the site and download the correct drivers for your model and your Operating System (XP, Vista, Win 7, 32 or 64 bit... very important)

Welcome to www.A4Tech.com::download driver

Oh and, forget the Sir, my father is a Sir ;)

it seems like the usb port is not working, you may want to try unplugging it and plug it back into another usb port.

If that doesn't work, go into your Device Manager again and uninstall all of your USB ports and then restart, hopefully, Win 7 will install new drivers for all of the usb ports, if not... sorry, I am all out of ideas.

Oh wait, one last thing is to find a usb to ps2 adapter and use the ps2 port in the back of your pc for your keyboard.

It is not your fault, I wouldn't think, and I am not sure it is the fault of the keyboard either... Now, do you know how to do a Computer Repair with your Win 7 CD/DVD from bootup?

If so, I would try that, perhaps something got very corrupted somewhere, perhaps she/you tried installing something and it didn't go well... way to many variables to consider, at least for me. Sorry but that is as far as I am willing to go. Good Luck

There are a number of people around the web posting problems regarding these A4 Tech keyboards, saying that they don't work at all, or not properly, on Windows 7.

It would seem they are not compatible with Windows 7 for some reason.

Regards....Mike Connor
