i have installed XP currently .
i extract the ISO file,- run setup-installed it to my other partition -it installs completely(32 bit)
then i have 2 OS first in my C drive- xp , second in my E drive -7
then i use it approx. 8-9 day then i boot from XP cd & remove the C partition
& restart. when i restart, my pc was not booting from windows 7.
it says "BOOTMGR COMPRESSED" then i format my C & E DRIVE
& re-install xp and repeat the same - but it continue to say that my bootmgr compressed

If you remove win XP and 7 wont boot you should try running win 7 disk and select startup repair to recover boot files, you may need to run this upto 3 times to sort the problem.

If you still encounter the code 5 problem and it wont boot from win 7 disk then create a recovery disc and burn it to cd and it should work from there

Burn your Win7 DVD using ImgBurn at 4x speed with Verify.

Then clean the HD first before install: Boot DVD>Repair console>Recovery tools, open Command Line, type:
DISKPART
LIST DISK
SELECT DISK # (for Windows 7 disk)
clean
create partition primary
select partition 1
assign letter=c:
active
format
exit

Now attempt Custom install from booted DVD.,

If this fails, try installing from USB flash stick: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/31541-windows-7-usb-dvd-download-tool.html?filter[2]=General%20Tips
