Help me please! I cannot logon to my fairly new Gateway computer...

Hello everyone.... I will make this short...perhaps I can find some help....

For some reason, I type in my password that I use 2 times and more a day...and I get the error message

'the user profile service service failed the logon..........user profile cannot be loaded..."

i have done my research......and I do not know my administrators passwrd...I do not (or cannot find) my startup disc..... so I am at my wits end to find a solution to something that should not be happening in the first place.. All I do is surf the web, send and receive emails....really basic stuff.....

My computer is not a laptop.
Please help!!!!! otherwise I guess I will have to make a first trip to repair this computer.......

thanks all.....and if you are wondering how I can send this, my 60 inch tv is
wireless so I have a keyboard and mouse.....but it is so slow, relatively speaking....

Can you enter "safe mode"?

Skip step 12 you can always disable it after problem has been fixed! you can continue with step 13 -15. In step 16 logon as administrator. Now try to fix the problem

i had the exact same issue and the tutorial fixed it.

Hi again and thanks for the replies..

Honestly, it looks all so complicated.... I'm not sure I would want to write all that down and then do all that at my computer..Seems like a complicated fix for what seems like a simple deal......

I think I would rather pay someone to do it for me and chalk it up to the cost of having a computer these days....

I will let all know whatg happens... too bad there is not a simple combination of keystrokes that can boot up a computer without the need for a disc.... who saves those thinghs anywayZ??? lol

advanced boot options->repair your computer as told you in post 5. It's actually the same as "win7 system repair dvd" or "win7 install dvd" (option repair computer). It's all you need.
