Help me with a driver

Hi all! my notebook is Sony vaio sz7 and I used to work with a dual monitor. But after the installation of windows seven I can`t connect my NEC monitor. i think its because of the video driver. my video adapter is NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS but i can`t find a driver for 8M series for seven.

Hello Shoot2be,

You can use the 8M driver for Vista with Windows 7. If it will not install normally, then you can use Compatibility Mode on the driver installation file with Vista selected.

32-bit version: GeForce Release 179

or

64-bit version: GeForce Release 179


I'm not sure if there was a 8M version, but there was a 9M Windows 7 beta driver released through Windows Update. You might check it first to see if you have one for the 8M.

Thanks a lot. I`ve decided this problem already!!! downloading ver 181.71 and then installed program MOBILITY MODDER that helped me to modify it to version for 8M series. Dont forget to unpack driver exe before modifying.
