hello all. i bought a new pc bout 3 months ago and never botherd to remove the bloatware because i wasnt to familiar with what i might need or not. im not sure that i dont need any of that crap.

ive attached a screen shot of my installed bloatware from control panel (the bloatware includes the pc doctor aswell)

alternitivly u can view the screen via this tinypic: http://i44.tinypic.com/zvq1wy.jpg

this hp crap will pop up randomly saying its doing a system diagnostics and doing updates i know these are not critical to windows 7. now if someone can guide me as to what is good to remove hopefully all of it thanks.

Why don't you make a system image to go back to if you want that stuff back.

Good suggestion. I would keep the PC Doctor. You never know when you need to test some hardware (e.g. RAM). All the rest you do not really need. It is there for your convenience.

PS: for the system image you can use this program. A more detailed tutorial version is here.

I have an HP laptop (new) also with said software: if some of the HP software is 'nagging' you on startup you don't necessarily have to uninstall - you can merely disable by using msconfig. That's what i did with the HP auto-updates. HP Advisor/ help and support I would wish to keep.

I doubt any of those softwares are vital to your OS...so it wouldnt hurt to uninstall them all...for example Im sure you dont play the games that it comes with so for sure you can hack that....I recommend CCleaner by Priform which is a lite little program that helps you populate a list of programs etc that are installed on your comp and therefore you can run the uninstaller all from within the program...also theres a section where you can select which programs run on startup...Cheers

agree with swarfega. If a need for any of those programs would suddenly emerge, I suppose you could find the app, or an equivalent one, and install it then.
