seems like its another problems of aero effects.. hey my frens...I NEED HELPP!!

im using acer AOD260 and its a net book, about one years ago after im ugrading my windows 7 basic to windows ultimate x32, the aero effects are just fine.. then one months ago when im reinstall my windows 7 ultimate (because my netbook boot system are crashed and everything gone..), the aero effects are gone. what can i see is just a dull blue taskbar,, when i go to the personalization to change the taskbar color, it comes out with windows color and apperance.. ive try to install directx , intel graphic accelerator and many so other.. plus , i cant install windows movie maker like 1 years before as it says that my video card is not enough requirement to install it,

Are you sure there isn't a different graphics unit in your book? I'm not too familiar with the netbooks, but it sounds like Windows isn't recognizing the GPU in your machine and so it's using the default plug and play set up.

Go to your device manager and check the display adapter. Make sure everything you see there matches what you know to be installed in your netbook. Then make sure all those drivers are up to date.

When you do a clean install of windows, all of your drivers (regardless if you knew about them or not!) are wiped too. Sometimes the longest part of a clean install is tracking down all the right drivers to get your system back up to speed.

so now what i need to do is just update my driver, is that all?

Look to the right above the download columns there is a hardware detecting app, that will then do auto updates for you.

Thanx there pebbly...i already install all the drivers from the acer support. ... but i dont it still doesn't work.. i dont want to bring my netbook to the workshop as it is too far n expensive...if possible maybe i can get resolution here.... from ur guys..huhu

i already update my video card, im installing the intel (R)
graphic media accelerator 3150 from th acer support.... still the aero affect does not work..

Hi emoprodigy this is the driver you require VGA_Intel_8.14.10.2117_W7x86_A.zip you may also need to reinstall the chipset driver

gromit..... i c that aero under personalization, but the glassy effect (windows color) is does not work... when i click the windows color, it does not comes out with the glassy colors ,but it comes out with windows colour and appearance,,, T^T

Different OSs have certain requirements to ensure the device works correctly also manufacturers have the habit of installing different hardware in some models of the same class of PC ,That is why for your model there are 3 versions of graphic cards Don't for get to update the chipset driver as well

Gromit... i c thAT aero theme under persnalization, but when im trying to click the windows color to get those glassy taskbar, it comes out with windows colour and apperance...i hate it!!!
