Hi all,

I bought my desktop last september. It's an Acer Aspire M5800.

1. Quad Core2 @ 2.5 GHZ
2. RAM 3.00 GB
3. OS is Windows 7 64 bit.
4. Graphic Card = NVIDIA GeForce GT120 1024MB

1 Month ago while i was playing Modern Warfare Multiplayer, i suddenly experienced a BSOD saying "IRQL_NOT_EQUAL_OR_LESS". After which, i have been experiencing different BSOD such as "BAD_POOL_HEADER" & "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT" and many more that i cannot recall now. My computer even initiated startup repair 3 times, but that doesn't seem to solve the problem...any idea what went wrong=S I haven't modified any hardware or added in any so i'm really at a lost on what have gone wrong..

Thanks for any help!

I see...here's the BIG problem...i can't even enter into my desktop screen...now when i switch it on...it either gives a long "BEEEEEEEEE" noise that doesn't stop or the fan suddenly gets very loud....in the 1 of 50 chances i managed to get in...it'll hang in 1 min...like screen hang...either that or another BSOD=S So far i managed to save a copy of the minidump folder (lotsa items inside) but that's as far as i got...then it hanged=S so frustrating..

It sounds like your CPU is overheating.

I suggest you remove your CPU cooler, clean it and the CPU, then re-apply it carefully with some new thermal paste (Artic Silver is a good brand)

WinRAR cannot open that archive. It says it is corrupted.

Can you please re upload them as a .zip file. Simply put all the minidumps in a file on the desktop and right-click -> Send To -> Compressed Archive

Hi,

Code:
nvlddmkm.sys Tue Dec 09 10:48:43 [COLOR=Red]2008[/COLOR]

Your graphics drivers need to be updated: Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

And this one too:
Code:
RTL85n64.sys Fri May 09 19:30:24 [COLOR=Red]2008[/COLOR]

Realtek 8185 Extensible 802.1b/g driver - Realtek

Then run a Memtest - Instructions:

Download the ISO (or the .exe for pendrives) from here Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

Then (if you have chosen the ISO) burn the ISO using ImgBurn: The Official ImgBurn Website

Boot from the CD/USB and run the test (at least 5 passes per test) with only one stick of RAM in place, if the stick passes then swap it into the other sockets in turn until you can be sure that all the sockets are fine.

Then test the rest of the RAM one at a time (no need to swap the sockets and again; 5 passes per test).

It is a time consuming process but it is the only way to be sure it isn't a RAM fault.

For your final test, run the test with all the RAM in place.

Temperatures:

After running your PC for a while reboot and look at what the hardware monitor in the BIOS says the temperatures of your CPU etc are.

Reventon

I see a lot of different bugchecks, which suggests bad hardware. Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder. Boot from the CD, and run it for at least 5 passes.

Try this free video stress test: FurMark: Graphics Card Stability and Stress Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net
FurMark Setup:
- If you have more than one GPU, select Multi-GPU during setup
- In the Run mode box, select "Stability Test" and "Log GPU Temperature"
Click "Go" to start the test
- Run the test until the GPU temperature maxes out - or until you start having problems (whichever comes first).
- Click "Quit" to exit

Try this free stress test: Free Software - GIMPS
Prime95 Setup:
- extract the contents of the zip file to a location of your choice
- double click on the executable file
- select "Just stress testing"
- select the "Blend" test. If you've already run MemTest overnight you may want to run the "Small FFTs" test instead.
- "Number of torture test threads to run" should equal the number of CPU's times 2 (if you're using hyperthreading).
The easiest way to figure this out is to go to Task Manager...Performance tab - and see the number of boxes under CPU Usage History
Then run the test for 6 to 24 hours - or until you get errors (whichever comes first).
The Test selection box and the stress.txt file describes what components that the program stresses.
