Help needed installing software

I'm trying to install an old piece of software, Sony's SonicStage v. 3.1, which lets you add/delete files from the Sony digital Walkman. The later version, v. 4.3 is no good as it's incompatible with the player.
I've downloaded the software and tried several times to install it, using 'administrator' to install.
However, when I try to run the program, I get this message:
"You are logged on as a limited account user. Some SonicStage functions are not available" -- sadly, those functions are the very ones I need, to edit and add to the music files on my Walkman. The message goes on to tell me that I need to log into an account that has Administrator or Power User privileges.
I do already log on as Admistrator. I've tried Properties, editing security details to grant full rights, but nothing sticks .. it keeps opening with the same message. Can anyone help?
Cheers Anthony
