help needed - low disk space
My c drive has size 24 gb and when i select all items in the drive and hit the properties button the size indicated is only 12gb .
Freqently the message low disk space is shown in a pop up.
What should i do to free space on that drive?
I tried using ccleaner initially it was able to create some free space but as time passed its of no use.
Is there any possible solution to the problem?
Yes there is, BUY a new hard drive.

Start Orb, type in REGEDIT
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Policies\ Explorer.
If it's not there, create a DWORD value and call it NoLowDiskSpaceChecks.
Double-click on NoLowDiskSpaceChecks, and enter the value 1, and press OK.

Make sure you are showing all hidden and OS file in Control Panel>Folder Options>View tab.
You can use
Windirstat to show you where your space is going.
I do recommend buying a bigger drive though. Storage is so cheap these days, you could pick up a 1TB drive for $65.

I like to use Tree Size Free to see disk space as it's smaller than WinDirStat and doesn't have to be installed. It's just an EXE that you can run.
