my brother blocked several websites on my desktop that I regularly use like YouTube deviant art and so on for no other reason than because he is an asshole that knows his way around computers.

now every time I go to those websites error message "this page can't be displayed" pops up immediately any tips on how to unblock them? any help is appreciated

Please do the following
1.
click the start button and type in cmd and click enter
type: ping 173.194.46.78
Let me know the results of that.
2.
Go to this location:
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

There should be a folder called HOSTS in there. Open that with Notepad and copy and paste that here.

I've copied the text from the HOSTS file into a word document and attached it to this post because it was too long

Are these the websites you are not able to view?
www.wowwiki.com, www.wowhead.com, hackerbot.net, elitehacksor.com, www.youtube.com

If so, you will need to remove those entries from the HOSTS file. You will need to remove the url and the 0.0.0.0 next to the urls. Do not remove any of the other entries in there. Here is a how-to on how to do this: Windows 7 - Edit the Hosts File
