Boot to the DVD by adjusting your bios settings. Choose the DVD drive as first boot device, to do so.

You could instead, try pressing f8 key when you turn on pc. That might bring up a screen instead to choose CD/DVD drive.

However, I will leave my advice at that for now because if you aren't really sure how to clean install, I seriously doubt x64 will offer any benefits to you over x86.

Eh perhaps, but not such a difference that you're expecting. Benefits are really only for video encoding and super intensive tasks as that.

I just figured to tell you like that because next, you'll be in the driver section of the forum looking for drivers...etc...benefits of changing to x64 from working x86 for user of your status with limited IT skills not really worth it imho.

You're welcome. :D

Hello and welcome to Windows 7 forum.
Please perform the following procedures, before you begin disconnect all peripherals as there are known driver issues concerning printers, CD/DVD drivers etc. Also, have a 4 gig USB bootable key ready in case the DVD is not recognised! As Torrent has cautioned there are known issues with drivers.
  1. Insert CD in player
  2. Either let the autorun start/go to setup.exe
  3. Select full install
  4. execute
Don't hesitate to call on us for further assistance.
