Hello
A while ago I downloaded an adobe program and restarted my computer. When it restarted, it went to the startup repair menu, only that the menu does'nt appear, only the background and mouse. I made a startup repair disc and made the disc drive load first and everything but it does'nt work, it goes to startup repair with no menu. I have no windows 7 install disc and would prefer not to wipe the computer, though I will if I have to. I don't want to pay to get it fixed and am desperate to get it working.
Thanks in advance.:sarc:

Welcome to Sevenforums creator!
When you boot, right before the windows press F8 many times :D and a screen will come up with boot options...
Select 'use last known good config', now your windows will boot.

Welcome to the windows 7 forums.

What adobe program did you download, and can we assume that it was directly from adobe?

I have dos 6.22, wfwg 3.11, win98, 2000 and xp VHD's available for testing. MS's Virtual PC works great.
It was from a third party

That could be your problem. I would never download adobe products from anyone but adobe.

What was the name of the site?

From my first cut at this, I would assume that the site gave you a bad guy and it totally messed up your PC. I would recommend a re-install of Windows.

All I know is that it's just a couple of months over a year old and it's an acer laptop. Other than that I don't know. If you need more info can you tell me where to find it?

Where and how do I get an installation disc

As speedgamer01 said the laptop should come with a second and third partition which contains the imaging file to reinstall or repair your installation. Also one of the partition could contain the diagnostic software to check the hardware and what not. For the laptop you can check the underside of the latptop to see what is the model number and once we know what the model we should be able to guide you through recovery of the OS.

Hope the above helps
