Help! office won't open after updating window patch....

Good afternoon, everyone.
I am in a trouble with microsoft office 2010 window version since last sunday.. My computer was updated automatically last week, and then MS office has not working. Powerpoint, excel program started in safe mode, however it shuted down immediately. Some of word files which is my graduation research republished were shuted down and recovered, but it was totally corrupted and I can't open it anymore.
I have found every way to restore my research papers and use MS office program including reinstall MS office and remove window update patches. However I still could not use MS office word and ppt programs. Even if I delete some window update patches, they reinstalled automatically.. Is there anyone whose MS office was in a trouble after last massive window update? Please help me. I have to finish my research paper in order to graduate university......

For clarification, what version of Office are you using? I believe Office 2011 was a Mac release for OS X.

Did you use the repair option in control panel > programs and features?

If this is the repair process you used and it didn't work, Microsoft offers four ways to uninstall Office 2010. Have you tried these? Also, this Microsoft Forum thread has some additional suggestions.

If still no luck would you be willing to try one these free compatible office programs? Perhaps one of these would still be able to open your MS office files.

Thanks for your help. However it seem like that it can not solve my problem. Before I said, I tried clear and reinstall office several times and the results were always same. Even trying safe mode did not open MS office, what happen to my computer. The symptom of my problem were excel and powerpoint program were not opened, as soon as click program, the pop up which ask safe mode, after that it shut down immediately. At first some word was opened but it shut down and recovered, and then it was corrupted. I can open this word file by using openoffice program, I can find some letter was broken. Furthermore the excel program has been slow and could not response immediately. Some excel sheet which is made of formula was shut down and recovered several time since window patched were updated last week..
Anyway thanks for your information about free office program.
