Help, pc keeps randomly shutting down.

I built a custom pc about a year ago. Recently it has been acting up, shutting off randomly. I thought maybe it was the fan and replaced the fan. This was futile i do not know what it could be. I thought maybe it could be that the coprocessor drive isnt installed do you think thats it? anyway someone please help me..

Welcome to SF. Please fill out the system specs completely as we aren't mind readers. Can you think of when this shut down began and if anything was added, downloaded, updated, installed? Do you keep this rig on a lot of the time, when was the last time you opened it up for a deep clean. Cleaning needs to be done every six months minimally and more if you have pets, heavy dust, or if the system sits directly on the floor or carpet.

Why may I ask did you need to re-install W7?

How does the rig look on the inside. Is it clean or could the CPU cooler be plugged up. Are you running your CPU in Quiet N Cool mode or wide open in the bios?

your system is overheating. apply new thermal paste over CPU.
also do not forget to clean

the old paste before applying new one.

Let me also ask which fan did you replace, case fan (front, rear, side or top?) or was it the CPU cooler and fan? If it was the CPU cooler what make and model did you go with and did you mount it properly?. Get back to us with more details. It sounds like a heat issue but still too many questions to answer to know for sure.
