help picking the best reasonable 1155 mobo available

i have been told 1155 is going away, but i was told that just under a year ago and its not proving to be true. i just came into a little extra money, and am considering the best mother board i could get my hands on for 1155.

this is what i am looking at. and im hoping to get some suggestions and hopfuly hear from someone who has it-

Eventually, all sockets go away, but I haven't heard anything particular about 1155. Are you mistaking that for 1156, which is about gone?

As long as you have a good brand and a little bit of luck, I'd just shop on the basis of desire features and price/support.

What does "best" mean in this context?

That particular board is certainly more than you need for most purposes and would be a waste of money for a typical installation. But you may need each and every one of its features. I don't know.

well, i think over all, good north bridge, z77 looks good to me, good bios (think i can trust asus on that one), hopfully future proof it a bit.

the guy told me 1155, im about 99% sure (which means only about 80% when someone says that). they said with the 2011 socket being introduced, it would blow 1155 and all others out of the water. i havent seen this hapen yet though.

i will be doing serious cpu OCing hopefully.

like i stated, i would like to hopefully hear from someone with it, and tell me how their experience has been thus far.

as for whether i need it or not... theres plenty of things i dont NEED, but when i need them, are nice to have, and in MOST cases it cant hurt anywhere but the bank to have them. as a 3d designer i run my temps up on EVERYTHING, nb, cpu, gpu hits 76c (ATi).

and part of it is that i want to future proof a bit, i want somthing that will support OSs, Graphics cards, and new technologies to come. in this case, this may outlive the technolagy, but lose to a socket that will, as you've stated, go away at somepoint.

you know it!!! just so happens the most highly rated 1155 on new egg is the same colors... thank god
