Does anyone know hot to completely remove Corel graphics suite 7. I used Revo uninstaller and it seems to have been removed. However I am trying to install Corel Graphics suite 8 and it tells me that it cannot be installed until another version is removed. Can anyone explain what I need to do to remove remnants of another version. I see the there is a protection service installed. Is this for all Corel Products does anyone know. I have Corel painter 17 installed and wondered if I remove the protection will it affect My Painter..TIA

My solution is not going to be liked by everyone. Resplendence's Registrar Registry Manager, free or pay-for, will continue where Revo Uninstaller left off. After you make two complete sets of restorable full images of your OS and Data partitions onto trustworthy external media, continue. Using RRM, you hunt up, via text entry, every line that contains "Coreldraw" and "Corel Draw" and delete said lines. Do a Restart, allow Windows to come to full desktop, do another Restart and allow Windows to come to full desktop. Thoroughly test Corel Painter to make sure RRM did not accidentally dork it up. If you are met with apparent success, keep your OS partition backups for 2-4 weeks in case "hidden registry/Window operations damage" surfaces. And keep your Data partition images current, recent.

Another tool to also use to force the complete erase of software is advanced unnistaller, erase folders created by installation, files in the registry, all temporary file erases.

After the procedure as the companion says, restart windows.

Alternative (recommended):
Use the space liberator to remove folders with debris.

These are the folders that store the temporary files, do not do it manually:

C: \ Windows \ Temp
C: \ Users \ users\ AppData \ Local \ Temp
C: \ Users \ users\ AppData \ LocalLow \ Temp
C: \ Users \ users\ AppData \ temp

"...However the protexis protection both the dlls and the exe file still show..." I have no idea what these all are :)
