Help, please - lost password

Please help - I've been stoopiddd

I have a small Samsung laptop (running Windows 7 Starter, I think) which I haven't used in over a year.

For some reason, I used a different password to log onto Windows than I usually use, and didn't make a note of it.

Now I urgently need some files which are on that computer...

Is there any way I can either reset or bypass the password login screen to access the files?

Hi there
It's possible also that you have the ADMINISTRATOR account -- if this is available logon with this and then change your USER password.

Once you've used WINRE method as above you can enable the administrator account so if it happens again you just use the administrator account to reset the password.

Enable the (Hidden) Administrator Account on Windows 7 or Vista
