I followed your links you posted but I just find that it is necessary to have an OS , This is the problem i think , my new pc has no OS at all , these screen shots may help ,Here is what i get when i turn the pc on without insertion of the bootable usb device

That is what i got when i insert it

Again ,I guess the problem is that because i do not have a current operating system installed on my new pc not that the bootable usb device is unable to be made

With or without an OS, your computer should boot off the USB bootable drive allowing you to format and partition your HD. You might have to change a few BIOS settings or tap a function key on boot up to enter the boot menu and boot from your bootable USB, however.

You have an Asus P8Z68-V Pro? So do I.

The preferred way to boot from a USB flash drive is to use the F8 hotkey to select the boot device (on a one-time basis). The flash drive may show up as a generic USB device.

That'll work better than changing the boot order in the BIOS (EFI) setup. When the PC reboots during the Win7 installation process, you want it to boot from the hard disk. If you leave the boot device set to the flash drive, the installation won't complete.

The "NTLDR is missing" message suggests to me that the USB stick wasn't setup correctly. Thats not a BIOS message, isn't that a failed OS boot message?

EDIT: What install media did you use to create the bootable drive?

First question: By 'bootable USB drive', do you mean that this drive has Windows on it? If not, what? The NTLDR error tells me this drive is not bootable. But really, the simplest method would be to spend $25 on a DVD drive.

I agree that spending $25USD for a dvd drive would be the simplest way to solve your problem.

Also Welcome to the Windows 7 forums.
