Help Please with HDD!

Hi

Just installed windows seven onto a new HDD and put it into my system however i cant seem to find my old HDD in my computer, its got my old xp on it but all of my Uni work that i need! Its says its in disk management but is unallocated?! any suggestions what to do so i can get my old work off of it?

When you installed 7...are you sure that you didn't mess with the XP ddrive/partition at all?

It looks like you are going to have to use a program that can restore data from a drive that has been deleted...

actually let me rephrase...the data is more than likely there...it is just unallocated. f you were to create an NTFS volume on the drive, it wouldn't restore the data...it would just allow you to start wirting data to the drive again.

To summarize....do not do any file operations on the drive and find yourself a data recoverer that can get back deleted data. Cross your fingers and hope for the best
