Help please

i tryed to install a theme onto my laptop. in the readme it told me to replace explorer.exe with another one to complete this theme. i now cant load windows due to an error just after i enter my login password that says
"explorer.exe -aplication error the aplication was unable to lstart correctly (0xc0000142). click OK to close the aplication"
can anyone help me out here? i realise it was a dumbass idea to mess arround with explrer.exe but the windows7 theme came from deviantart (its called DarkSoft), so i figured it was tried and tested and what it told me to do i could do with no harm to my computer.
what can i do??

Can you get in with safe mode and then do a system restore?

No safe mode still has the same problem but i can use the command prompt in safe mode

Get to system restore and fix what you did. Dont double post. It hurts the both of us.

im guessing your asking because my hard drive needs a wipe? :/

If you had nothing that would be the easy way, but I will try to avoid that if possible.
You are sure you cannot get into safe mode? You are sure you know how to do it?

well ive fized one problem, and now i have another one.
i fixed the explorer.exe problem by using the command prompt to copy explorer.exe in windows\sysWOW64 and thats stopped the computer from displaying a black screen after login,
but now i get another problem.
"bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse Recovery: logonUI.exe - application error
the instruction at 0x0000000 referenced memory at 0x0000000. the memory could not be written."
what now?!?

i will try starting up safemode again now that ive fixed explorer.exe, but before it would still display no desktop or anything

If you can get into safe mode, we have this done. Just go back a few days before you tried to improve on the work of MS.
