Or run a bootable AV CD scan: FREE Bootable AntiVirus Rescue CDs Download List Boot the Win7 DVD Repair console or Repair CD to run Startup Repair a few times: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105541-startup-repair-run-3-separate-times.html Startup Repair should offer to run System Restore, but if it doesn't then boot back into DVD/CD to run System Restore from the disk.
