Solved Help Please?

hi, im new to this forum and i need some help..
my laptop harddisk .. is dead. so i bought a new one and installed a windows 7 ultimate x64 bits..

it all ran perfect with me but the biggest problem was ..
my laptop had 6 GB of ram .. while when i installed the windows
it only detected 2 GB ? x_x any help pls

Are sure you install 64bit & not 32bit?

Check your ram.

Hello. Yes you have 64 bit windows. The first thing that I have noticed is that you have high temperatures,so make sure that your fans are clean of dust. And now for your problem,follow first this tutorial and make sure that you have unchecked Maximum Memory.

Also there may be some other problems,maybe some of your slots for the ram are broken,or you have dislocated some of the ram.
To make sure that your slots are working correctly follow this:
Download and install Everest and start it. There go into: Computer -> Summary and scroll to the bottom. There should be something like this
DMI Total / Free Memory Sockets 2 / 1
This is mine,I have only one stick of ram 2GB.

I agree with Stalker. Follow his advice. Its likely that in installing the new drive you inadvertently unseated the 2 other RAM modules. Check that by CAREFULLY opening up the laptop and having a good look - don't forgt to earth yourself on soemthing metallic to discharge any static before touching the insides of the laptop.

You might want to take a look at msconfig.exe - Boot - Advanced Options, be sure maximum memory is not set to 2 Gigs.

he just opened the laptop .. and did something and my laptop is 6 Gigs now lol
