Are you sure your Flash is 64 bit??

Not sure, but I thought there was no such thing a few months ago. Maybe there is now, but confirm at Adobe.

Hi Sandy, Welcome to SF,

As if now Flash player is only available for 32-bit. So try to open your IE -32 Bit then see whether you are able to open webpages with Flash contents. To obtain latest version of Flash you could check our Stick thread http://www.sevenforums.com/browsers-mail/311-latest-version-adobe-flash-player.html

Hope this helps,
Captain

Yeah, I think that is what that means. When you went to Adobe, it recognized that you had a 64 bit browser and therefore told you that you need a 32 bit browser because there ain't no 64 bit Flash.

I don't know what browser you are using, but I dimly recall there is a way to run at least some 32 bit browsers on a 64 bit system.

Start a new thread in the Browsers/Mail forum with a title like:

32 bit browser on 64 bit system possible??

Yes all browsers will run on 64 bit Windows. IE8 in Windows 7 x64 ships with 2 versions, 32-bit and 64-bit. There is not much support for 64-bit browsing when it comes to plugins and such. Firefox 32-bit runs and so does Chrome, Opera and IE8 32-bit. Most 32-bit programs in fact will run on 64-bit architecture. You do not have to have 64-bit programs on 64-bit Windows. Soon 32-bit will be a thing of the past, but right now software companies are still developing for the architecture.
