Hello Community

I've reinstalled Win7 because of problems I've had.
Windows created an "windows.old" folder for me and I've copied all the program folders located in C:/windows.old/Program Files to C:/Program Files but my PC won't recognize my Programs as they're not installed but just placed in the folder.

I hope you guys understand my question as i'm not English but Dutch.

Regards Billy

You can’t just copy the folders from the old location to the new. As you suggested, you need to perform a complete uninstall and then a reinstall, specifying the new installation location when you set up the program again. As the paths of the programs are wrote in the registry.

There are free programs that can move the programs for you, I.E: Application Mover - Funduc Software

But it would be much easier to uninstall are reinstall the programs. I hope i didnt go to complicated you you, if i did i will explain again! :)
