Help security only updates installation

Yes, as the Security Only Updates are not cumulative, unlike the Monthly Rollup Updates. You will [as you stated], need to install them ALL in the correct order!

Oops, I thought the Monthly Rollup was the security Updates. It's the Rollup that I can never install.

Dism claims I'm missing every security update since 10/2016, which isn't so, but I'm missing lots of the security ones. Will Dism ignore the nasties while updating?

No, the Monthly Rollup Updates are cumulative [the Security Only Updates are not] so it is only the latest Monthly Rollup Update that needs to be installed!

Thanks Paul. I was really asking all this about security updates because it just lets me install one by one. I install one, it asks me to restart, after the restart I install another one and it asks for a reboot and so on, so for that, I wanted to know if I could install them all in order and finally restart but standalone does not allow it, I guess because they are not cumulative.

Yes. What a lot of people do for the Security Only Updates is to download them all first [.msu]. Then just install them one by one, it is a lot quicker than letting WU check for the next one after the previous one has been installed and the computer has restarted.

Unfortunately, using WUSA and the silent install for these updates doesn't work in this scenariao!

You want DISM++ pick and choose which Windows updates you wish and it tells you about the problematic ones. No reboot untill they are all installed. ¡ʇǝǝʍS
