Help, Severe freezing in desktop and programs

Please help my computer suddenly got a severely slow bootup starting in the windows welcome page and after that it would periodically turn from slow to freezing like for example " Im gonna search in the start menu it would be unresponding and when i try to click other files they would be unresponding either which would result in windowsexplorer.exe is not responding please help

Run memtest86+ to test your RAM and Crystal Disk Info to see if your HDD is showing any SMART warnings. I would also run MBAM free edition to see if finds anything on there.
