as he install the windows 7 he supposed to get a DX11 there...i think the problem is his using GMA graphic chipset which many modern games are unstable with chipset graphics..try right clicking the shortcut and click properties then check the compatibility mode try various stuff like XP,VISTA..etc..if this didn't solve your problem then your rig has this game is modern and supposed to be compatible with Windows 7..

Chipset (on board) video card are not meant for gaming but you could try updating the video & audio drivers while you are at it.

It is always recommended to check the game requirements prior to buying a game, just because the computer is new or recent does not mean that it will handle everything. ;)

Good luck

Can't really update through Device Manager and you don't really want to do so through Windows Update either.

Best way is to go to the manufacturer's website, look for your video model card and windows OS, download it and install it from the downloaded file... then again, some onboard cards don't really have updates

And therein lies the other problem, laptops and newer games don't seem to like each other much... unless your laptops is one of those so called "Gaming Laptops" and you spend around 3 Grand for it.

so i updated my graphics driver, but still same.
That doesn't sound good for you my friend.

I am sorry, but you're making it sound like I made you spend the money. There are no fixes if you updated the driver and it didn't do anything, your laptop does not meet the minimum requirement for the game.

What is your next move? sell the game to a friend that is willing to pay you face value.

Next time, read the requirements before you purchase a game or anything that you are not 100% you will be able to use, be it a computer, car, microwave, etc, etc. ;)

seriously black screen with sound has something to do with your graphic display i been there like those popular "Metal Gear Solid 2" and "True Crime Y.N" black screen with sound issue that played on PC without graphic card..even if you updated your graphic card and directx if you didn't meet the exactly game specific requirements to minimum and beyond expect that you'll get a issue especially on Laptops with chipsets and when we talking about 2 laptop that has graphic display of chipsets vs graphic card? thats a huge different story

if you want to play modern games i suggest you the 2 things that very important on buying a PC or to play modern games get at least Core2Duo and graphic card of Geforce 9800GT is cheaper today or get HD5770 which loads of new goodies close the price of Geforce 9800GT you can see every modern games today it has that on system requirements or view my profile check out my budget rig that only cost me around $300 this rig i played such as CRYSIS with Very HIGH or max setting with decent resolutions and other games GTA4,Singurality,Assassins Creed 2,Bad Company 2,Starcraft 2,C&C4,Blur,Split Second.without any serious issue.. thats all i hope it helps you to search a good PC and goodluck...
