Help Streaming Internet TV to Media Center Extender

Newbie to Windows Media Center and XBOX 360
Help needed:

I want to do one of two (or both) things in order to view Internet TV shows on my XBOX or Samsung Smart TV.
1. Write the Internet TV program to disk while watching it on my pc. I have tried Snagit and the video is of poor quality. While using Media Center to view internet TV (Windows 7) I cannot activate the record button.

2. Stream the internet video (TV) playing on my PC to either my xbox 360 or to my Samsung SMART TV.
Using Win 7 Pro (32bit)
Using my xbox as a Windows media center extender.
I can view any of my files (videos, music, etc) using the xbox but cannot see the live streaming video that is playing on my PC.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks to all that have replied.

Perhaps I did not articulate my problem very well. I believe my xbox is connecting to media center fine. I can view saved programs (vidios) view pictures saved on my PC via the media center extender, play slide shows and music.
What I cannot do:
Start viewing a free TV show or movie on my PC via the internet and then go to my XBOX exterder and view what is currently streaming to my PC. I thought maybe I needed to save the streaming video to my hard disk first but the record button in media center is grayed out--will not function.
Am I doing something wrong?
