Hello 7Dreams,

You might see if you can do a startup repair to get it booting again into Windows 7, but you most likely will need to do a clean reinstall of Vista after interrupting the SP2 installation like that though.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

You do have your display monitor turned on and see a green light correct? Did you try your vista recovery dvd that came with your pc to see if it would boot? Have you pushed f2 continuosly after turning pc off and back on? To see if you can post your bios? good luck to you. lm

So, you can't even get to the BIOS options?

actually something similar happened to me on Vista Service Pack 2.

It restated and was at 21% of Stage 1 and it hung there for a half an hour. Of course, there's the warning stating "Do not Shutdown your computer".

Well, I did, and restarted hitting the F8 key in hopes of choosing last Known good Configuration.

To my surprise the install started and completely normally.

Yes, it's typically F8, but may be different according to manufacturer.

Just keep tapping on the F4 through F9 keys on startup.

Yes, you'll have to use both hands:D

Could you elaborate on that?

Were you able to access the boot screen?
