Ok here's the thing am trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit but where I come to "Where do you want to install Windows?" the Box is empty but my SSD is connected and shows on the post screen under pysical disk am trying to install it as Disk 0 which is Sata 3 port 1 ( My SSD is Sata 3 Crucial C300 128gb )

But here's the problem when I use the same Sata 3 port 1 for a 2TB Hard drive I see it in the Windows box ? to be honest this Sata 3 port 1 was originally used 1st time for the 2TB Hard drive and i even formatted it could this be the problem do I need to erase it even though notthings on it maybe the Sata 3 port 1 needs a wipe out
I just want my SSD which is gonna have the operating system to show up as Disk 0 which obviously is Sata 3 port 1
Sata 3 port 2 becomes Disk 1

*UPDATE*
ok when I use Sata 3 port 2 the SSD does show up in the Windows 7 box
but this will be Disk 1 which I do not want unless it doesn't make any different
its just that if i use Port 1 for HDD it will be Disk 0 and will be active once
formatted
becuase Disk 0 is data disk. Only OS partitions should be marked Active or the System MBR could be derailed into DISK0 during a Repair

Hello shadowman007, welcome to Seven Forums!

You are correct in the statements above about the "System Active" partition though there are remedies for that but if it's correct to start with there will be no need for a fix.

Is there a possibility that the first time you had the Solid State Drive (SSD) connected to the SATA 3 port 1 there was a bad connection?

As you haven't started the install yet? try using the port again to see if it'll get picked up, it may take a couple tries, could there be other factors involved, maybe a semi-bad cable?
