Try replacing the battery on the motherboard - it is usually a small lithium button cell type CR2032. See your motherboard manual for details. Make sure that the time (and daylight-saving) is set correctly for your locale.

If you want assistance on how to do this, please let us know what motherboard you have and we'll endeavour to find the information for you.

If it is your battery, I suggest that you follow the instructions of the prior poster. A bad battery starts with annoyances, like the time, until you will lose settings and everything else.
If it is not your battery try this. Windows gadgets (its included with OS) has a number of gadgets you can put on your desktop. One gadget is a clock. Try to dowload it, it syncs with internet time. You can set your taskbar clock to sync with the gadget. The gadget syncs, with taskbar clock at a regular schedule, one of which is boot up. Let us know what happens.
